My condition started 10 days ago. It came on fast and furious, and I spent two days crying non-stop until I got into my orthopedic (doing ice, elevation, and NSAIDs). He recommended conservative treatments, but said I could try a shot of cortisone if I wanted to be more aggressive.

I knew I couldn't live with that acute pain, so I opted for the shot. The relief was immediate, but now one week later it feels like it may be slowly coming back. I have been plagued by thoughts of suicide if that pain returns, so I am doing everything possible. I sympathize wholeheartedly. I will keep you posted on how long the shot works, because at this point I still consider it a miracle.
