Me and my heel spur. . .

Well, it's been just over a year since I first recall the pain of my plantar fasciitis. I tried rest, ice, stretching. . . Then after a few weeks I would run again, and about the third week, after a buildup to 20 miles or so, the pain would come back as if out of nowhere. . . So, now I haven't run in over two months, hoping that a 6 to 9 month layoff would eliminate the problem completely. My feet feel better than ever! I just had a deep tissue massage and although I could feel a slight soreness around the heel spur, it wasn't too bad. The therapist could feel the adhesions, and scar tissue and was trying to break them down and work them out. To me this is great progress as only 2-3 months ago I could barely stand the area to be touched with minimal pressure. If anyone can tell me that they have been completely cured, and is back to full activity levels pre "PF", please let me know how you did it. I look forward to the day when I can get back to 50 miles per week!
