Surgery for PF and TTS

Posted by Jeannette on 11/15/98
I had surgery in late September for PF and TTS. After sixteen days in a cast, the doctor had to remove it because I was in excrutiating pain. Three weeks in a soft cast followed and after that was removed, I fractured a joint in the same foot, developed Achilles tendonitis, and am now back in a cast for four to six weeks. I wish I had found this web site before the surgery. The cortisone shots resulted in little relief and were almost worse than being in labor. Ultrasound and hydrotherapy before the surgery did little, as did strapping of the foot. Thanks for all the research you did, sir.
