I have had the best luck with my chiropractor. First he makes sure my back is in alignmant and usually the pain eases up in a day or two. When i first saw him he also used ultra sound for about3 days in a row.plus showed me how to tape my foot. My Dr. has worked
for the Olympics and has taught me that even the best shoes need to be replaced every 4-6 mo. This is esp. true of running and walking shoes. even if they sit in your closet they loose their resilience.
I also use Burkenstocks in the summer (not too great in the snow in Iowa!!) And found them to he the best answer. Good luck and remember at the first sign of pain, check out your back.
