Becky,
I also get worse as the day progresses and for the first month I couldn't sleep at night at all. Then I got night splints, and my night pain is pretty much gone. Sometimes during the day when I am home I put the night splints on and it helps then too. The night splints are big and clunky, so I am not comfortable when I sleep, but at least I am not waking up in pain anymore.
