I just read read in your message why your doctor doesn't want you to wear Birkenstocks. He has made orthotics for you (probably about $200) and that is in direct competition with Birkenstock (for him). If you wear Birkenstocks you wouldn't wear his orthodics in them. You would probably quickly see that you don't need them/ him. Keep wearing your Birkenstocks.
