I just saw why your doctor didn't want you to wear Birkenstocks. Apparently he made custom orthodics for you- probably around $200. Birkenstocks are in direct competition with him. They are orthopedic approved shoes. When you wear your Birks you wont/cant wear additional orthodics at the same time. You would soon likely see that the birks are great and stop wearing his orthodics and therefore stop having to see him.
