Eastland shoes

Yesterday I bought a pair of Eastland sandals. Someone had written about them in an early post to this board, saying they were similar to Birks but about half the price and available at JC Penney. I ran into a pair in a shoe store (not JC Penney) and figured for $43, try 'em out.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them a 9. For the first time in literally months, my feet don't hurt. I can walk normally -- not the PF hobble -- and not experience pain -- which is a minor miracle. They have a low, hard carved out heel bed like Birks, with moderate arch support and little metatarsal ridges towards the toes. I'd recommend them, even as an interim measure or house slippers.
