Re: To suzi and Irene -- Dr. Baxter

Hi susan, I had the same experience when I asked about the pf surgery. He made it sound like a breeze and that's why I thought it was no big deal almost 4 years ago. I still have some pain in my foot from the surgery mostly where the scar is on the side of my foot. I truly believe that as a result of this surgery a tiny nerve was re-entrapped thus causing continued pain. The worst thing about this type of surgery is that scar tissue forms and when it presses on a nerve there will ultimately be continued pain. My foot hurt a great deal for several weeks even months after the surgery and the recovery is quite long. I had some relief from the surgery but not as much as I would have hoped for. If you are going to consider surgery Dr. Baxter has the best reputation in the country probably even the world. He fixed Mark Mcquires foot and many other famous athletes, so this is the Dr. to see. I still have some pain in my foot but it is not nearly as painful as it was before the surgery. I just wish the surgery would have restored my foot to the way it was before.
Hope this helps, if not e-mail me at:puglover1@mindspring.
