Anyone Tried Alfalfa?

A friend recently told me that alfalfa supplements had a beneficial effect on PF. He didn't know exactly why, only that it worked for some. He recommended capsules, which he said are available at health food stores. It sounded hokey to me. Has anyone tried this? Any discernible effect? Would appreciate any responses from anyone who has direct experience or who knows anyone who has benefitted from this "treatment."
