I am only 1 week post op with conventional open PF release surgery, but I have had less pain with the surgery than I did before I had it. I know of 2 people who are 4 months postop with the open and both are doing wonderfully and are glad they did it. I also suffered for about 2 years. My doctor doesn't like the endoscopy because there are too many nerve bundles that are hard to see. He also feels that he can explore much better because a lot of times, there is a small neuroma or tumor that can be missed with the scope. He use to use the scope but has had much better success with the open and has gone exclusively back to the open method. I only want to do this once. I have it in both feet, but the non-surgical foot is feeling better too. All the rest, I suppose. Feel free to e-mail me and I will continue to post here on my progress.
