Becky I also used to walk for exercise, 4-5 miles a day 5 days a week. Unfortunately I can no longer do this because it also causes me great pain. A new exercise that I have found to be helpful and also very therapuetic is yoga. One tape that I use regularly I Kathy Smith's new yoga. Yoga is very refreshing and also helps to stretch the muscles in the feet so they don't cramp up. You could also try water aerobics. It has very little impact on the joints and muscles. It is worth a try. I am able to ride on a stationary bike. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

I think the most important thing is to stay active and to not let this debilatating disease get the best of you. The more you let it take over the life the more depressed you get.
