I tried birkenstocks a number of years ago and couldn't wear them because of increased arch pain. This was before I developed PF , but I had been wearing orthotics and still do. Is it normal to have more pain while breaking in the shoes? Since they are so costly, I would hate to try again if I could not wear them. There is not a store in my area dedicated to Birkenstocks,and I wonder if the sales people would be knowledeable to the fit. Thanks
