Re: Quit Going Barefoot? Yup, for right now anyway.

Put the inserts in your slippies too, just move them right along with your feet. Read down through other posts, I advise the same things over and over. 1) Ice - put some cubes in a ziploc, bash them with a rolling pin, wrap the bag in a hand towel and snuggle your foot into the ice like a little beanbag chair. Do this when you're sitting in the evening eatting dinner or watching telly. 2) Never barefoot, always with support for your feet. 3) Exercise your feet before you stand up and especially in the morning, scrunch your toes under, then flex them up like you're going to walk on tippytoes, then point your foot, then flex your foot, then rotate your foot. Repeat this several times, it warms them up and gets them used to the idea of moving, then stand up slowly with your feet in your insert-holding slippies.

Maybe later when you're 'healed' or at least stabilized, you can try going barefoot again, slowly, a little at a time. Some people have PF worse than others, we all have to decide what level of discomfort we're willing to live with in exchange for not giving up certain other facets of our lifestyles. You ay be one of the lucky ones, keep a good outlook and keep coming back to the board. Let us know how you're doing, we care.
