I use to wake in the middle of the nite with a cramp in the middle of my arch also. It was so painful I couldn't move, I thought it was a pinched nerve. I mostly got it after aerobics. I just stretch more after my classes and I haven't had it once since my acupuncture and my return to aerobics.
