Pain and Shoes

I am beginning to have pain even while sitting with my feet up....a sharp pain will shoot thru my heel. Anyone else have this problem?
Also has anyone tried Dansko Clogs? Everyone seems to talk a lot about Birkenstock, but I didnt have any luck with them. I was relatively pain free for about four months until I wore Birks for two weeks. That was in Sept and I can still barely walk.
