Re: feeling hopeless

I know what you mean, we're not paralyzed so why do we need wheelchairs? Forgive them, as I hope I have been forgiven for my previously similar thoughts, back when I walked freely and without pain. My husband gets cranky sometimes, it's not that he's sick of hearing me complain about it, it's that "I want to fix it and I can't and that makes me crazy, I feel so helpless!". I try not to complain to him too much, coming to this board gives me another outlet so he doesn't have to deal with all of it. I'm not saying that's the case with you, but maybe that's part of it. Do what's best for you, try everything else but if in the end you do the surgery, there have been posts here recently that it isn't always wasted or makes it worse. I'd use it as a last resort, but that's just me, and I'm doing ok right now. Take care of yourself and keep us informed, we care.
