From the research I've done there are is a lot of misunderstandings about calcium. According to a doctor who has been researching diet, and calcium calcium retention is directly impacted to excessive protein intake. For the average person, more that 47 Grams of protein a day result in a net loss of calcium. I don't know if excesss calclium can result in calcium deposits in tendons (doctors say it doesn't), but I had a large calium deposit in one of the tendons in my shoulderand I used to drink about 2 quarts of milk every day. It had to be removed because it irrited the joint too much, and I tried 6 months of therapy first to avoid it but got nowhere.

When I had a toxcicity test done (from hair samples) my calcium levels were twice normal levels.

There is a tape you can buy (Dr. Morter's Dynamic Health) that shows how most of the info on our diet is highly enfluenced by the milk, dairy and meet groups. Since my father has been in the national food industry all his life and he gave me the tape I think it is beleivable. This doc has actual documentation on how our "recommended diet" was enfluednced by the politics of business.

Anyhow, I think the Vit E is helping your elbow more than anything else. Also, I think that some of the vit C is wasted (goes straight out)unless it is taken in small doses (500 or less) and it should be taken through out the day to give your body a continuous level. Total of 2000-4000.

The benifit I get doing this is like magic.

I find that 5-HTP (not the cheap stuff) also helps.

As far a running competetively goes I would rather be cautious and be able to run the rest of my life than risk it all in a race. For a lot of us chronic sufferrers running isn't even a consideration.

Do you ice the elbow after hard work?

Good luck
