I have had pf for 3 years off and on and while I was free of it this year I joined a gym to get fitter. Unfortunately after a couple of months the pf came back and this time it has been really bad. When I talked to the instructor at the gym he suggested using the Alexander T
echnique because it is a way of retraining the body on posture and how you stand.
Does anyone know anything about this technique and if so, does it sound like a feasible method of helping? I have been paying out so such for various remedies including reflexology and physiotherapy that I don't want to waste any more money on something that has not been successful with anyone. Following recommendations on this site I have tried Glucosamine and whether its co-incidence I don't know, I have found that the pain has not been so bad recently and I can walk more, so I would recommend that people do try this as it seems the most successful thing so far. I have had courses of steroid injections in both feet and although they worked the first time I had pf, it does not seem to have worked this time. My doctor has more or less signed me off and told me that it just takes time and theres not much more she can do unless I take surgery which I do not want to do.
So, does anyone out there know anything about the Alexander Technique?
Jane
