START OUT SLOW!

Sorry I took so long to get back. My advice is that even when your foot first starts to feels better, it won't be ready for any big hikes. There seems to me to be a long time lag between overdoing it and the resulting pain (unless you way over do it, and you'll know it soon). Sart out very slow and don't increase (for a week) until you know that your foot can take more. Do aerobic activity that doesn't stress the foot and take Vit C through out the day.

I go on short hikes at an easy pace and take foot breaks where I take off my shoes and cool them on a cold rack or in a stream. I only like to hike where there is water to soak in.

Good Luck
