C is nearly as safe as water.

It can cure stomach ulcers and reduces inflammation. The "stomach inflammation" claim is absurd. Old people have been taking 20 grams a day for years without a problem except for chronic good health. It does cause gas and diarrhea for some people in small doses. It causes gas and diarrhea in many people above about 20 grams a day, unless they have a cold (or other virus) or cancer because the body utilizes it. Some sources say it increases the absorption of iron that is in the intestines at the same time it is, but I believe the effect is fairly small. Other sources disagree. I would recommend not eating iron at the same time as taking C, IF iron is a problem. Your pharnacist has probably not read very much about vitamin C, studied it for 25 years, written 3 books on the subject, lived for 93 years, taken 18 grams a day for years, nor been the only one to have ever received 2 unassisted nobel prizes.

PS I thought you said it was the Ossatron that was helping!
