I normally was taking 2000 mg Vit C a day (2 1000 mg caps) without any problems. More than that and I would have intestinal problems. I tried upping the dose to 3 to 4,000 mg as Gordon said worked for him on the plantar fascia beast. I got 250 mg chewable tabs, so I could space out the doses throughout the day (although they tasted so good, I'd often eat 2 or 3 at a time). Unfortunately, the chewable tabs have fructose in them, and more unfortunately they really did a number on my intestines. So, I just got some 500 mg time-release buffered C, to see if that is easier on my system. I also got some E-mergen-C "fizz powder" and will try that too. I agree that Vit C can do amazing things, it's just a matter of getting it in.Gorson, I feel fortunate to have come on line just about the time you did your last summary of what worked for you.
