Bone Scan Suprise!

Posted by Gina on 3/09/99
Saw ortho guy today to get results of bone scan of both feet. According to the doctor/bone scan, PF is the least of my problems. Was told my scan was grossly abnormal and that I have arthritis in my heel, forefoot, and ankle in both feet (both feet are painful, one less than the other--charming Dr. suggested it's only a matter of time till both are equally painful and that my feet are "totally screwed up"--wonder if that's a a medical diagnosis??) Anyway, I'm to stay on Celebrex, take Ultram for pain as needed, and "learn to live with it." Finally, since I'm having some tingling in left foot, I will have a nerve conduction test to rule out tarsal tunnel. After being diagnosed and treated for PF by 4 doctors over 2 years, all this came as quite a surprise. Am not glad I didn't have PF surgery. Not sure how to proceed from here; any ideas????? (besides finding a message board for arthritis!!!!)
