Pain due to scar tissue after PF is healed?

I'm beginning to think the pain that I now experience is due to the Scar tissue left over from the PF injury. I notice that when I do a deep message, I feel no pain while running or walking. It's only when the scar tissue tightens up and forms a small knot in my heel. I'm hopeful that the message along with warmer weather will eliminate the injury completely. Unfortunately, cold weather is back and I find I have more difficulty keeping the knot loosened up.

Anyone else have the same experience?
