I rarely check this site anymore because my heels hardly ever bother me. I've always taken vitamins and consider myself in good health, except I need to lose about 30 lbs. But except for the rare cold and occasional aches and pains, at 50 I think I'm doing OK. I am back to an exercise class 2x's a week and I walk my Rottie 2-3 times a day. I still baby my feet because I'm afraid of a reocurrance. I never wear cheap shoes anymore, and ususally wear shoes where the heel is at least 1 inch higher than the sole. As for vitamins, I feel that the glucosamine sulfate with chondroitin really did the trick. I started out taking 3,000mg of glucosamine sulfate w/ chondroitin daily. I am now down to 1500 mg daily. I take about 3000 mg of C daily except if I feel a cold coming on then I up it to maybe 5000mg or more. Every morning I also take 400 iu of E, 10,000 iu of A with 400 iu of D, a good bcomplex tablet, and a standardized Siberian gingsing tablet. I also try to make a shake for breakfast with orange juice, brewers yeast, lecithin and bran. Then mid after noon I take another ginsing, and 1000mg of C. I love to eat junk food but try to eat lots of veggies and fruit. Oh I also take 1200 mg of calcium at night but I eat cheese and yogurt too. And of course I'm perimenopausal and take my remifemmin and rejuvex daily.
Hope this helps.
