Hi, Brenda: TTS is a condition in which the nerves(s) of the foot, under the ankle bone, in a space called the tarsal tunnel, become inflammed, pinched, and entraped in the space. The symptoms are burning, tingling, numbness, and pain. Its pretty hard to diagnose with the tests available, apparently (MRI and Nerve studies). TTS goes along with PF in many cases, but its called a fairly uncommon disorder. Tarsal tunnel syndrome is to the ankle what carpal tunnel syndrome is to the wrist.
