i had the spurs removed and also tarsal tunnel surgury on my r foot at the same time. before the surgury i tried everything my life was on hold every activity that i was involved in stoped. i enjoy mountaineering and long distance walking. which i could no longer do. after work i could not even walk my dog then it became dissabling i could no longer stand all day . i quickly had the surgury done anything was better than this. when i woke up for the first time in3 years i felt NO PAIN!. i still have some pain but have had what i call perfect day's when it does not hurt at all. i just hope it last's i also have the exact same problem in the other foot and when it get's bad enough i will have it done to it to. i dont know if i will return to mountaineering for i feel it was probobly most of the cause but it will shure be easy to lose this extra 25# i gaind.and i have returnd to work. thank's doc.

Hello, I am a 47 year old female with severe foot pain. I am "still" trying to find a solution to my foot pain. I have a large heel spur in both my feet. I refuse to take any more cortizone shots that only last 2-3 months maybe. I have tried everything under the sun to no avail. The pain is so bad now, it affects my daily activities completely. I have heard bad things about the surgery and am scared to death of it but can't function normally as is now. I would appreciate all the information personally and your experiences and how you are doing now. Before surgury, after and now. Thank You so much. Kathy Sturm in Pagosa Springs, colorado.
