It's been 8 weeks since the surgery and my foot is feeling a lot better. i still have bad days, especially when i overdo it. My doctor cut a small piece out of the bottom of the fascia instead of releasing it. I'm not sure if this is baxter's surgery or not. I had tried all of the conservative treatments for almost 4 years and nothing worked. I didn't have the spur removed because I have a spur in my right foot and have never had any pf symptoms in that foot.

It's been a year since the surgery and it's the best thing I did. I just started running again, I'm taking it really slowly, do about 3/4 mile once or twice a week, but no pain at all. It took about a year before I could do any high impact activity though. I can pretty much do anything I want now, but I'm still careful because I don't want the PF to ever come back again. I'm using the personal foot trainers and they help quite a bit.

this surgery was the best thing i could have done for my foot. I was even able to play in a soccer league last summer. I feel like I have my life back. I went from excruciating pain to getting my life back. I tried all of the conservative methods with no sucess, and I couldn't afford ESWT, so I finally decided to have the surgery, I'm really glad I did.
