well my surgery was 2/26/2002,i feel iam going backwards as far as the healing goes foot swells, alot of heal pain, and in the arch area,where the fashia was cut,doing therapy 2 times a week,dr put me in a air cast almost 2 weeks ago,still pain if i stand or walk any distance or lenth of time taking 2 differant nurve pills not pleased at all about having the surgery done i feel i have become worse off by having it.will post after dr visit next week,thanks for listening

Really no good news to report,i saw the dr yesterday and took in pictures of my swollen foot and he injected my foot with cortizone oh my god did it ever hurt,it seems all my swelling is where in incision is on the side he said thats where the nerve was cut,the botton incision looks better but still can,t say iam pain free,said to wear the aircast 24/7 except bathing and he does not no when i will come out of it,iam taking 2 differant types of inflamatories,he seems to think iam a really slow healer,now this morning my foot doeas't hurt as bad guess the cortizone kicked in.i will write more after my next visit.

sorry i missed a couple of weeks but still have nothing good to report i went to dr again on the 12th foot is still hurting a lot swelling and when he holds both sides of my foot it really hurts,he increased my neurontin to 600 mg which i see no differance in pain level or swelling said to wear shoes and not air cast,now with shoes i can walk about an hour and my foot hurts like hell,i actually limp.today it hurt worse than ever so i called and i have to go in so he can see it again when iam not on it it doesn't swell,but something is going on in the incision area because when i touch it or tap on it lightly it tingles all the way to my toes,also told me to take vitiam b and double the dose.iam not a happy camper.will up-date after appointment tomorrow

well no good news to report,went to have emg yesterday of foot and lower back very painfull,was unable to spread toes during test and thought I had because the dr ask spread your toes I said iam,so after the test I went to my car and I had a hell of a time using my foot to shift gears and the lower back hurt like the dickens,well went to therapy in which I knew I was going to be unable to do anything I discovered that I could not spread my toes,that up-set me big time.Did not sleep well because of pain in both foot and lower back plan on making a call this morning to dr to get something for pain.

today is the 25th and i still have the same pain,i had called the doctor after having the emg done because my lower back had not stoped hurting since having th emg on the 16th, so called and the doctor said it was normal and it should go away in a few days! last night i had the mri done iam curious to hear of the results.

still no good news to report,I have had an EMG, MRI, got the results back and now Iam told that having herniated disk in L-5 SI could be the cause of the heal pain iam having,foot is still swelling,hurts like hell walking on it now its even hurting in the ankle area when taking steps,I still have this knot on the bottom part of my foot where the fashia but above it so when walking it feels like iam walking on pebbles. the noerolgist increased my neurontin to 2700 mg and said that even with the pinched nerve in the L-5 it would not cause heal pain in both heals,and i needed to be re evaluated since I have all the same stuff going on as before my surgery.I will end this now saying I wish I had gotton a 2rd opinion and Iam sorry i got it done.

well i,ll start by saying i still have a lot of pain when walking,now my foot swells on the oposite side,the medication neurontin that iam on has done nothing,iam up to 27oo mg a day,foot is burning, tingling, goes numb when i wear my shoes. when i walk for 30 min or so i am limping.i go to pain management on the 10 of this month hopefuly they will control the pain more than the doc's i have now

hello, i haven't posted in awhile i had another tts on 12/31/02 and it's now month later and iam dam near pain free,the new dr said the main nerve in my foot was intrapped,so he released it took the stiches out in 10 days put me in hard cast for 3 wks removed cast put me in air cast but i have full weight bearing if toloble so far i have swelling but feel great.
