I had surgery for a "pump bump." I was on crutches for 6 weeks. I went back to work after 2 months. I never was really doing well but my foot is worse now than before. I have missed 4 weeks and am going back to work Friday. I have been wearing my "air boot' for the past month. It makes walking bearable tho my foot feels somewhat "asleep". I dread trying to work with the steel toe shoe I have to wear in my work situation! I can't bear the thought of anything touching my heel! My ortho has recommended another surgery to detach the achilles tendon and clean up what he could not get to before. I am going for another opinion and looking into other alternatives as this type surgery has an even longer recovery period. Has anyone reading this post had this type of surgery suceed?
