I had surgery on my left foot on 4/6/00 and on my right foot on 6/21/00. My feet killed me before I had this surgery, I couldn't walk when I would get up and if I was on my feet very long at all then it would be so painful I couldn't stand it. My doctor gave me cortisone shots and they did not help at all. So we decided surgery was the only answer and that is the best choice I ever made, my feet almost never hurt now unless I am on my feet for long periods of time and then it is not the same pain as before.I took 6 months off work and stayed on crutches 6 weeks for each foot before I put any weight on my foot at all , I wanted to make sure that I was healed real good before I started walking again, it was a long process, especaily since I had my feet done one after the other, but it was WELL worth the time, pain and money.Plus I had a wonderful doctor and that helps alot.
