I got the stitches out on 8/29/03, my doctor told me that I am healing good and I should be able to get off of the crutches in 2 weeks if all continues well. I get to put my sneaker on now, but I still can't weight bear. Then in 2 weeks after that I can begin Physical Therapy. I don't really feel too much pain in my heel, just a few twinges here & there. The back of my foot hurts a little; my doctor told me he removed a big chunk of bone.

It's benn 3 months since my surgey, I do not have the pain I had before at all. I do however have a little stiffness where I had bone removed from my calcaneous (for the 2nd time) so its a little stiff, but once I get it moving in the morning it works its way out. I go to P/T 3x a week and I work full-time up and down on my feet all day. I also use Bextra 20mg every once in a while when the weather is cold and nasty for my bone pain. I saw my doctor yesterday and he said my fascia is healing awesome and I don't need to see him anymore unless I have pain.It also helps that I work for an Orthopedic Surgeon who can answer any of my questions that I forgot to ask my Orthopedic Surgeon. My advice to everyone is to just be patient because it does take a long time to heal.

It's been about 7 months. I have a little pain over my scar where the bone was removed when I stretch. Otherwise, I feel great. I hope everyone else is feeling good also. I finally can run on now.
