i'm 36 years old and i had a radical plantar fasciectomy on my left foot where the dr. cut a 3 and 1/2" incision on the bottom of my left foot and removed the whole thing because i had cysts growing in it from walking in steel toed boots on concrete floors for years as a maintenance mechanic.doctor said in 3 months i'll be ready to go but listen to this story.after the surgery for 2 months i laid in the bed in terrible pain taking pain killers and for 4 months now iv'e been in p.t. for 3 times a week,it still hurts like hell and i don't see it getting any better.i can't stand on it for longer than 2 hours and the heel pain and swelling kicks in.i turned it in as work.comp. but their denying it.i got a lawyer trying to help me.now the company cancalled my insurance then fired me for not returning to work in time.i have 3 kids so i just applied for ssi and disability. anyone with similar expirience e-mail me and let me know if you've gotten any help.
