6/27 first day to wear shoes since April (had been in CamWalker) Foot is swelling, but to be expected I guess. Pain level is about an 8 but not sure if it is because of surgery or just the same pain...

3 months post-op now and still no relief from heel pain but the post-op pain has improved greatly. Am going to physical therapy 2x a week for the past 8 weeks. Ultrasound therapy seems to help. I had had another cortisone shot yesterday, so today is not a good day... Will post again in a month...

HAD SURGERY OCTOBER 2005 PLANTAR FASCIOTOMY WITH HEAL SPUR REDUCTION. IA M A NURSE UNABLE TO WALK FOR 1 MILE STRAIGHT WITHOUT PAIN AND STAND NO GREATER THAN 15 MIN. DID THE SAME AS YOU. ULTRASOUND GREAT. PHYSICAL THERAPY ONE YEAR WENT HOME AND CRIED, UNABLE TO MEET EXP OF JOB WALKING 4 MILES A DAY AFTER 16 YEARS OF SERVICE, YES THIS IS A WORK COMP CASE. DID YOU GET BETTER? had ESWT on same foot January 16, 2006. Have refused to have ESWT or surgery on my right foot as I do not see a major difference. Some relief in heel pain but now have moderate to severe ankle, outer and arch foot pain. Am being referred to neurologist next week. However, I am also interested in trying cryosurgery for pain relief...
