11/09/00 still can not walk without pain. every step hurts and i have to think about walking. I am having problems with my other foot and back due to not walking properly for so long. i go to pt twice a week and pool therapy once a week. still taking neurotin for pain tried to stop but went back on it it seems to help. started a new vitamin regimin i must use a cane or my crutches by the afternoon or evening.. shopoping is still out of the question but it is better than b/4 surgery

12/01/00 still not walking, cooking shopping without pain I can go to a restaurant and sit but i can not stand for any length of time if i walk into a store for milk and have to stand in line to pay i am hurting. i go to pt it has been a rollercoaster some days are good most are bad by 3pm i still need to stay off my feet as much as possible i still take the neurotin and i have just started progesterone cream and i feel less pain i can now wear soft soled shoes like the suede rockport clogs with rubber sole or my reebock black sneakers i must change my shoes often during the day pain is way less than b/4 surgery .. b/4 surgery it was constant now it is not hooray....!!!

02/02/01 Still not back to normal wearing shoies is a huge problem I have wasted many $'s trying to find comfortable shoes ..just got soft orthodics and find them comfortable so far...I still cannot walk any distance and shopping is not good i dread it but the pain is not constant as it was b/4 surgery it only hurts if i stand or walk for more than 20 in. or so..I still take neurotin, gave up the progesterone cream and use a cream called MSM it seams to feel good at bedtime I am still glad I had the surgery and have resigned to the fact that I need to hold onto my NEW lifestyle change it is the worst part of this whole deal CHANGING>><><:!@!@!@ I miss my active self oh yeah I have gained 10 lbs.....
Date: 03/23/2002 . . . Pain Level: 1 . . . Activity Level: 5 . . . Satisfaction with surgery: 8
03/23/02Wow have I come along way.. my pain level is almost gone but I have had to change my lifestyle no running or waliking long distance just a short walk around the supermarket will bring the pain on but i do not take any pain medication except motrin on occasion i have taken up spinning (bikeriding) as a new activitiy i honestly think the running and standing full time for my job is what brought it on my pod said i could be in pain for about 3 years or more and sure enough he was right i do think the surgery helped
