The reason for my low activity level is because I was advised not to return to exercise until after one month - it's only been 2 weeks. I am hopeful that I will be at a pain level of 0 in less than 2 weeks as I look forward to exercising again.

Just figured out how to get back to this site. Not very computer literate. Here's my update: Four months post op now. The heel has felt almost back to normal since the 5th week. In between then and now I had some aches and odd pains in the heel area. My other knee has alot of lactic acid build up from limping and it hurts to bend it so I'm having deep tissue massages every week. It's helping. Defintely recommend crutches or cain post EPF surgery for at least the first couple of weeks. Started walking on the treadmill a month ago and noticed that I had ankle pain. An x-ray showed a spur on the inside of my ankle. Had one cortisone shot, which has done nothing to dull the pain. I go back for another in 2 weeks. But the heel is 99% back to normal. I wear my orthotics and New Balance sneaker most of the time.
