I had a heel spur which the doctor described was the size of the first joint of the little finger; the fascia was released and also a neuroma was removed the middle of October 2000. My doctor believes that crutches, etc. slow down any healing and my instructions were to resume normal activities after 24 hrs and walk on the flat of my foot to promote proper healing. It's been very painful and I am wondering how long this goes on. I try to get out and do what I have to do but it's no where close to "normal" and find that I would rather sit than walk. I am not in any therapy, no medications, and go back in three weeks. Could someone let me know what to expect in terms of pain and recovery time. Thanks.
