1 day post-op with open release, tarsal tunnel and some sort of muscle stuff (??). Too early to know much yet but pain killers are my new best friends.

Day 2 post-op is WAY better than day 1. Minimal pain any where. The numbness has pretty much worn off. I am still off my foot (2 weeks of non-weight bearing) but I am able to stand and brush my teeth, etc. with no problem and no pain. Looking forward to each days improvement.

2 week check-up today. Stitches came out. I have had no pain in the foot at all. Dr. told me to walk on it as much as I can. There is still a little numbness around the incision. No bruising. Have been able to hobble on my toes since day 4 and have been able to drive since day 6. I know it is early but I consider myself a complete success. I would recommend the surgery to anyone and would repeat it in a heartbeat if the other foot required it.

1 month post-op today. I have not had any pain since the second day after surgery. I have been able to walk, drive, shop at malls, even exercise a little. The non-surgical foot is giving me trouble now because of the work it had to do while I was on crutches. I know that complete recovery is a long process but I think I am well on the way. I would have the surgery again in a heartbeat. I am completely satisfied.
