Heel Spur on left foot was 1" long when removed. Doctor stated spur probably existed for 5 years prior to surgery. Never noticed heel spur until after injury to right leg that required use of cane and 90% of body weight supported on left side. Thereby aggrevating Heel Spur causing extreme pain. Although xray indicates heel spur has been removed, entire heel area is completely numb and pain is very intense inside heel area. After 4 full months, I consider surgery a complete failure. Would not reccommend having it. However, I am a large person 6'4" @ 265 lbs. My size could be a factor.
