Happy weekend to you all, my friends!!!!!

This is the last day of the work week. I want nothing more than to stay in my bed today reading my crime drama courtroom thrillers with my feet elevated. My weekends usually consist of staying home all weekend doing nothing but resting and icing in order to get myself ready for the next work week. I am very fortuate and blessed that I have a job which requires no walking whatsoever (switchboard). I even can put my feet up on an upside-down garbage can. You guys are so great listening to all this. YOu are the only people who understand and deal with the exact things I do. Can't stand in lines in groc. stores etc....
I am going to Atlanta this weekend to see a friend of mine. I am excited. While on my journey I am going to a few stores which carry the $$$$$Mephists shoes. I will come back with a full report on how they "really" feel. Hope this will be helpful. You would think for $150 it would take away the pain completely. I never see that happening. For those of you staying home doing nothing (which is my usual activity) have hope that this is not going to last forever and that as technology increases so are the chances for the doctors and researchers to find a way to make this "hell" go away. For those of you who are able to work, let's be thankful. Some can not work. For those of us who drive (even though it is painful) let's be glad we can drive. Just imagine some out there with certain disabilities can't do that. Talking about independence being taken away! This board is so great. YOu are all great and thank you for listening to me babble. I pray for all you guys (not by name because there are too many of you!). God does answer prayers. If any of you have a bible, check out Romans 8:37. This is the verse that I cling to now. It talks about being "more than conquerors". How neat! Even though we are restricted in out lives (majorly) and are in pain most of the time, we can conquer this thing. The pain might never go away, I don't know but somehow we are going to make it through. For those of you who are discouraged, depressed and think there is no hope, I think that many times. For awhile I couldn't even get out of bed in the mornings, I dread the pain so much. God bless all of you and we'll be in touch!!!!!! becky in chattanooga
