Although I work on my feet everyday for the last 30 years, I have never had any bottom of heel pain until 2 weeks ago. I was running aroung playing laser tag and at the end of the first session, my foot hurt sooo much! For the next 2 days it was intense. I've taken high does of ibuprofin, then pregdisone (sp?) , helped a little but it still hurts all day and all night, if I'm on it or not.

My question is, has anyone heard of it coming on so fast? or is that how you all started?

The pain is constant in the middle of the high part of the arch back against the heel. I feel like I have a circle that seems to go numb at times, is that unusual?

Advise, since it is acute, should I try an injection, or physical therapy, or taking sick leave and staying off my foot for a while. This is not something anyone wants to live with all the time, and I'd rather do something now to make it better.
