feeling hopeless

I've been suffering with PF for 3 years now. Started slowly but now has progressed to where I am in comnstant dull pain, unless of course I do anything and then bacome non ambulatory for 24 hours! I've been to 2 different podiatrists. Quit a job I loved to avoid surgery. (ER Nurse, nurse for 20 years) No after taking job (desk job)I dislike more every day I am willing to do anything to get back on my feet again. I thought being off my feet would solve the problem but it cont to get worse. I have been using night splints for the past month with no relief of long term pain, am pain is slightly better. Have appt with Pod again Monday to discuss ?success. Dr doesn't want to do surgery but I see no way out of this. Depressed? You Bet!!!
Anyone else with really bad pain get better relief with night splints after more time? Do I wait longer? The podiatrist doesn't seem to understand that this isn't just bothersome but is crippling me!!!
