Pain, Pain and More Pain

Posted by Barb T. on 2/15/99
I have been suffering from Plantar Faciitis for a couple of years now in both feet. The pain is unbelievable. It has gone into my ankle, moves into the calves, knees and makes me very miserable. I can't walk more than approximately 50 yards without this starting up. The pain of course is terrible in the morning, then eases a bit and by 10:30-11:00 it is terrible again. Every step is like walking on glass.

On top of this problem, I also have FMS, Osteoarthritis (both big toes are fused) and RA.

Right now Codeine is the only thing that helps for the pain. I wear orthotics, have purchased many pairs of "GOOD" shoes,(built up insole, flat heels & BIG price tag), tried physio, massage, anti-inflammatories, etc.... Nothing. I am on 100mg of Elavil for the FMS. Does help the sleep problem, but not the pain levels.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I can't stand this pain much longer.

Sorry to be such a windbag, but my frustration and depression levels are increasing.
