Taping, wrapping and orthotics

Would it hurt to wear tape or wrapped arch supports along with orthotics? Do you folks who tape also wear orthotics? I was also wondering about the heavy weight ankle wrap (which also wraps around the arch) for firm ankle control. Would this help? Thanks. BarbJ

P.S.--To Gordon, I loved your message. I have printed it out and will definitely give your advice a shot. Am already doing exercise, stretching, icing but not taking any supplements at all. Thanks for sharing.
