I have been suffereing w/PF for over 2 years and really haven't found much relief. I will tell you this. I had a soft cast (also called a unibootie) on my left foot for 2 weeks. This was the MOST PAINFUL experience. It was difficult to walk in & sleep in. The cast was so tight I would get cramps in my arch. When the cast was finally taken off, my ankle was weak because I had not flexed it properly when walking and I had to strengthen those muscles so I wouldn't injure my ankle. The cast did nothing helpful & I do not recommend a cast. I had to order a night splint & was told to send it back by my new DPM. I switched DPM's after the cast incident. I do recommend magnetic insole for shoes. I have had a pair for about 2 weeks and my right foot is pain free. Nothing seems to help my left foot. I have been fitted fot Birks and am going to get my first pair today. I can't wait!!!!!!! I missed the snowboarding season so I know how you feel. Keep your chin up!!
