HELP. I am having SEVERE neck pain in one specific spot it has been going on for 5 months and is causing SEVERE headaches as well. I have been treated with pain medication, threapy, traction, steroids (oral), I am having a bone scan on Monday - and the doctor said if everyithing turns out ok - they would do a cortisone injection AT THE TOP OF MY NECK/BASE OF MY SKULL - OUCH!! I do have faith in this doctor but have several questions can you help me with any of them? I read the above article and I am now nervous about doing tissue damage. Isnt that very close to my brain/skull? Could it effect that in anyway? Isnt that a painful spot to get an infection like that? Wouldnt oral steroids help? Any further infromation would be greatly appriciated? Thanks
