cortizone injections

Posted by janet on 12/11/98
Hi all, I had my first injection, just one, in my right heel yesterday. I was amazed to wake up this morning pain-free. The injection itself was not a big deal, no pain, not even any residual pain at the injection site. I'm curious to know who of you out there in cyberland
have had injections and how soon you resumed normal activities. Also, does the cortizone just mask pain or truly reduce it by promoting heeling? I'm still not exactly clear on this. Anyway, any helpful hints on ways to enhance the cortizone treatments, resuming activity,...are welcome. (I've had PF for 4 years. Tried all the conservative treatments. Nothing worked and I've gotten progressively worse--was in a wheelchair last summer).
