Cortisone shots

Dr recommended, had first one, worse than childbirth! Also was taped. Pain gone for 2.5 days, tape off at 5 days. Back to square one in 7 days. Dr. wants to do 2 more shots. Anyone had any relief from them?? I'm going to try everything I printed from this site tonight while waiting for responses. Can't stand much more of this pain however!
